This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 32 development cycle. Changing version to 32. I've just removed the versioned requirements in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1799082 Can you retry on top of transifex-client-0.13.7-2.fc33 in rawhide? transifex-client fails to build with Python 3.9.0a3. + /usr/bin/python3 setup.py test ... No local packages or working download links found for python-slugify<2.0.0 error: Could not find suitable distribution for Requirement.parse('python-slugify<2.0.0') I've also added tracking to https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/package/transifex-client?collection=f32 to see if this doesn't happen with Python 3.8 as well. Python 3.9 will be included in Fedora 33. To make that update smoother, we're building Fedora packages with early pre-releases of Python 3.9.
