This sounds like a BIOS problem we're working around... Does setting "CHANGEVT" in /etc/sysconfig/apmd help? I uncommented CHANGEVT line, and restarted apmd (by `/etc/rc.d/init.d/apmd restart` command.) Then, when I suspended the system and rebooted again, it was, so-to-say, ALIVE, as in mouse activity was being registered, and Accordingly menus etc popped up, but the screen overall was crappy -- None of the text in menus showed up, menus themselves were just a grey rectangle and nothing more. The upper two corners were showing text from vt 1! Anyway, so I reverted back to the original file, commenting out CHANGEVT part. Lo and behold, IT IS WORKING PERFECTLY NOW! Maybe it wasn't a bug, maybe I encountered some glitches. But three times in a row? Beats me. Anywho, it works for me now, so changing the status to WORKSFORME. Thanks for the tip, Bero! |
