After I removed eclipse-mpc, Eclipse would still not open due to the same errors. I did a reboot, then the main window loaded successfully, but there were many missing icons, missing menu items, etc. When clicking the tab "Git Repositories", an error popped out about missing repositories. Essentially, my Eclipse installation seems broken now. I will attach the new logs. Created attachment 1692774 [details]

Error related to eclipse-mpc
This error appears in a fresh new workspace, when checking for updates. It seems eclipse-mpc is not being removed cleanly. It's leaving a lot of trash behind that is ruining my Eclipse installation.
I have managed to get everything working now by deleting all workspaces, installing eclipse-mpc and creating a new clean workspace on first startup of Eclipse. So, to reproduce this, start with an existing workspace and then install eclipse-mpc. Eclipse will fail to start. Now remove eclipse-mpc. Eclipse starts, but workspace is broken and the Eclipse installation complains about missing eclipse-mpc files. |
