Hi,

I tried a scratch build of cgit-1.2.3-3 from the rawhide branch:

There's a trivial test failure, which I've submitted upstream for some discussion:

With that change, a scratch build looks good:

I haven't had time to do any further testing of the package yet, to see if there are any issues with installing and running it on EL8.  At some point I hope to do so and then request and epel8 branch.  If anyone who's eager to test wants to run try and scratch build and report success/failure, that'd be great.
