Kindly build cgit for EPEL 8. Even kernel.org uses it. thanks
In Fedora 32 yumdownloader --source cgit mock -r epel-8-x86_64 cgit-1.2.2-2.fc32.src.rpm
Hi, I tried a scratch build of cgit-1.2.3-3 from the rawhide branch: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=48896434 There's a trivial test failure, which I've submitted upstream for some discussion: https://lists.zx2c4.com/pipermail/cgit/2020-August/004508.html With that change, a scratch build looks good: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=48908380 I haven't had time to do any further testing of the package yet, to see if there are any issues with installing and running it on EL8. At some point I hope to do so and then request and epel8 branch. If anyone who's eager to test wants to run try and scratch build and report success/failure, that'd be great.
+1 to have it build for EL-8
