Description Ionut Nechita 2020-09-16 10:04:08 UTC
Hi,

I tried to start this iso, but it crashes.
He goes into emergency mode.
I think it's a boot problem with this image.
If it is an image problem, can it be easily fixed?

Host:
QEMU KVM Q35 4GB

Where did you get that from? The one linked from https://iot.fedoraproject.org/ is the following:

https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/iot/32/IoT/x86_64/iso/Fedora-IoT-IoT-ostree-x86_64-32-20200603.0.iso

Note the ostree in the name.

Understand.

But isn't this image similar to the other one? Fedora-IoT-IoT-dvd-x86_64-32-20200603.0.iso
I don't think he has a ostree.

Or is it used for something else?

Can you tell me what is with this image?

Thanks.

No, it's not, hence why it's not linked from the download siet.

> Or is it used for something else?

It's a leftover artifact of the release compose process.

> Can you tell me what is with this image?

It's a leftover artifact of the release compose process.

Where did you get it from? Was it linked from somewhere?

Comment 4 Ionut Nechita 2020-09-16 10:24:06 UTC
I found the image on the http / ftp site.
I thought it was functional and I took it.
But it doesn't look like that.

Is there any IoT image without ostree support?

Thanks.

Comment 5 Ionut Nechita 2020-09-16 10:26:45 UTC
This non-functional image will be repaired or deleted, right?

Thanks.

Comment 6 Peter Robinson 2020-09-16 10:33:28 UTC
> Is there any IoT image without ostree support?

No, it is one of the features of the IoT Edition.
