I was watching an .AVI video with VLC and was kicked out of my gnome session. It fell back to the loading "Fedora" screen before you log in.

Comment 12 Olivier Fourdan 2020-10-02 09:20:13 UTC
I supect this is the same as https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/issues/1055 upstream fixed with https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/merge_requests/512 and backported to the stable-1.20-branch with https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/merge_requests/518.

Comment 13 Olivier Fourdan 2020-10-02 13:16:58 UTC
Hi,

I've spawn a scratch build with the fix from upstream, if you want to give it a try:

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=52650127

Note: You need to restart your session after updating Xwayland for the change to take effect.
