RHV-H 4.4.3 is based on RHEL 8.3, which uses a new version of Anaconda (BZ#1691319). This new combination introduces a regression that breaks the features that BZ#1777886 "[RFE] Support minimal storage layout for RHVH" added to RHV-H 4.4 GA. This regression affects only new installations of RHV-H 4.4.3. To work around this issue, first install the RHV-H 4.4 GA ISO and then upgrade the host to RHV-H 4.4.3.

It appears that this is ready for inclusion in the 4.4.3 Release Notes, so I'm moving to RELEASE_PENDING. Hi Alex, You are right. As far as I can tell this doesn't affect RHEL. Is there a bug for the anaconda issue and/or a RHVH bug to track the anaconda bug? Sandro, please see comment 10. (In reply to Germano Veit Michel from comment #10) > Is there a bug for the anaconda issue and/or a RHVH bug to track the > anaconda bug? Anaconda bug is filed: Bug #1887370 - Define the default partitioning by mount points Also opened bug #1901878 to track the rebase on RHEL 8.4 and added it there as dependency. Thank you! |
