Attached a slightly more up to date version of the fix from upstream CVS HEAD Upstream bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332011 I cannot reproduce the high cpu usage on a failed login. I can definitely reproduce this. I have it on a machine in the office if you want to see it. Reproduced and verified fixed. An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
