I installed the fix from the testing repo.
I no longer can cause a crash using the screen keyboard - so that helped.
but
when I suspend my machine and I wake it, it properly powers down, power light pulsing slowly (TP T490), it powers back up when I wake it - but no password dialog will come up, the clock is frozen and showing the time of the suspend.

My intel PC has broken suspend also, it doesn't wake up.

I believe the issue is probably kernel related.
My nvidia PC works fine so I doubt it's a cinnamon issue.
