Description Bruce Bigby 2021-03-26 16:05:58 UTC
Description of problem:

When I attempt to print an e-mail, Evolution responds with the following message:

     Printing failed.

The printer replied "Printer not found".

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

     3.38.4

How reproducible:

Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Right-click on an e-mail and click the Print option.
2. Select a printer to which other applications have printed successfully.
3. Click the Print button.

Actual results:

Evolution displays the message,

     Printing failed.

The printer replied "Printer not found".

Expected results:

I expected the mail to print.

Additional info:

Geary and other applications are able to print fine. Also, according to this report at https://forum.manjaro.org/t/evolution-3-38-mail-printing-failing/38021, this inability to print is not present in Evolution 3.36. I don't recall not being able to print e-mails in Evolution 3.36 either.

I am experiencing the same issue. I am able to print from other applications such as gedit, LibreOffice writer, and Firefox.

Evolution version: evolution-3.38.4-1.fc33.x86_64

I get the same error: The printer replied "Printer not found"

NOTE: The error is also displayed if attempting to print to a file which also fails.

Thanks for a bug report. This particular one had been reported already, thus I'm marking it as a duplicate.
