The health checks are currently configurable in Rook as described here: https://rook.github.io/docs/rook/v1.6/ceph-cluster-crd.html#health-settings

These settings not allowed in OCS due to the reconcile of the full CephCluster.
Either OCS operator needs to be changed to allow settings like this to not be reconciled, or else this needs to be exposed from the StorageCluster. This seems like a good time for the former.

Since it's an RFE, moving it to 4.9. We'll discuss on the resolution.

Still no discussion on this, so moving further to ODF 4.10. For my part, we now do have the ability to not reconcile the full CephCluster. This of course comes with the caveat that the CephCluster will no longer receive updates from ocs-operator in future releases. If we want this to persist during reconciliation, we need to expose it in the StorageCluster API. @r.martinez is this something you'd like to see added?

In any case, @etamir should decide if he wants to take this in for release planning. If so we'll need an Epic for this.
