Description Erika Mustermann 2006-06-22 19:57:31 UTC
Description of problem:
Installing 'FC6 Test 1' on my Sony Vaio PCG-C1VFK fails due to the error message
"Error running transaction: package [glibc|openssl|kernel|kernel-devel] is
intended for a i686 architecture" when starting to install the selected packages.

The problem is exactly as in BUG #186378
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=186378), but there is one
significant difference: The workaround with giving 'linux rpmarch=i586
text' at the syslinux boot line doesn't work with FC6Test1! (It does with FC5!)

Here my /proc/cpuinfo:

P.S.: I attach the /tmp/anacdump.txt! Maybe this helps....

Comment 2 Paul Nasrat 2006-06-26 15:45:00 UTC
The FC6T1 tree does not contain a i586 kernel.

Comment 3 Jesse Keating 2006-07-19 23:49:58 UTC
i586 kernels are now included.
