.Objects with null version IDs delete on the second site
Previously, objects with null version IDs were not deleted on the second site. In a multi-site environment, deleting an object with a null version ID on one of the sites did not delete the object on the second site.
With this fix, objects with null version IDs delete on the second site.

*** Bug 2109343 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** So it appears that this has been addressed for the upcoming RHCS 8.x release and I'm also seeing a reference that this is resolved for an upcoming RHCS 7.1 update. Is there any intention on this making it into a backport fix for 6.x? I have a case that looks to be running into this exact issue in a 6.1 cluster. Adding 03959809 as they are hitting the same issue. Is there a workaround for this issue? Any way we can backport this to 6.x? Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA. For information on the advisory (Red Hat Ceph Storage 8.0 security, bug fix, and enhancement updates), and where to find the updated files, follow the link below. If the solution does not work for you, open a new bug report. https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2024:10216 The needinfo request[s] on this closed bug have been removed as they have been unresolved for 120 days |
