will need to backport once fixed in 4.9 It appears on latest 4.8 as well. Still see the error "Cannot read property 'metadata' of null" after click delete button. Verified on latest master. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
