As we spoke this issue seem very important for we are able to accomplish the goal to deprecate all bundles that will not work on 4.9 from 4.9. So, raising the priority.

Comment 4 Ankita Thomas 2021-09-27 18:09:14 UTC
The upstream fix has merged (https://github.com/operator-framework/operator-registry/pull/767) and this gives a version of the binary for IIB/pipelines to use while the downstream sync is pending

Bumping down priority to high

Comment 6 Kevin Rizza 2021-10-18 19:04:45 UTC
This BZ was resolved upstream and will make its way downstream through the normal process. Closing.

Comment 7 Kevin Rizza 2021-10-18 19:05:11 UTC
This is not something we would expect or plan on backporting.
