Comment 1 Paul Howarth 2022-01-14 12:25:59 UTC
It looks like EPEL-9 will have to have version 2.4.0 of this because 2.5.0 wants setuptools_scm 6.0 or later, and setuptools_scm 5.0.1 is in the EL-9 crb repo.

Comment 2 Nils Philippsen 2022-02-24 22:14:00 UTC
Hey Scott, anything missing before this package can be brought to EPEL9? It looks like setuptools_scm has been updated meanwhile, so we should be able to have the current version of pytest-xdist: http://mirror.stream.centos.org/9-stream/CRB/source/tree/Packages/python-setuptools_scm-6.0.1-1.el9.src.rpm

Comment 3 Scott Talbert 2022-02-25 00:00:06 UTC
Yes, it needs python-execnet.

Just a note to people waiting on this that pytest-xdist is often an optional dependency, and you may be able to proceed with your EPEL9 packages by patching it out of the BR’s.
