Comment 2 Jaroslav Škarvada 2022-01-07 09:25:01 UTC
Branched, but it's missing some deps which are not in RHEL-9, so it cannot be built in the current state:
DEBUG util.py:444: No matching package to install: 'libgsasl-devel'
DEBUG util.py:444: No matching package to install: 'libopendmarc-devel'
DEBUG util.py:444: No matching package to install: 'libspf2-devel'

Any news on this one?

Comment 7 Jaroslav Škarvada 2022-03-12 11:09:07 UTC
Waiting for the libgsasl, it seems it requires some more deps, see bug 2038095 for details. Maybe I could build exim without libgsasl, but I cannot help with the libgsasl itself.

Comment 8 Renich Bon Ciric 2022-03-14 16:58:21 UTC
Thank you for the explanation Jeroslav. I hope it gets sorted out. It seems libgsasl is required for authentication.

https://www.gnu.org/software/gsasl/

You know this most probably. I dunno the implications of building it without it. I found this, though:

https://www.exim.org/exim-html-current/doc/html/spec_html/ch-the_gsasl_authenticator.html

And it seems it's not being used yet:

> The library is expected to add support in an upcoming realease for the SCRAM-SHA-256 method. The macro _HAVE_AUTH_GSASL_SCRAM_SHA_256 will be defined when this happens.

Comment 9 Renich Bon Ciric 2022-04-13 16:57:35 UTC
It seems all blockers have been resolved. Is it possible to continue now?
