python-testtools failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f36

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=81985855

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_36_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix python-testtools at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
python-testtools will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 37,
python-testtools will be retired, if it still fails to build.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle.
Changing version to 36.

Comment 5 Carl George 🤠 2022-04-26 02:31:30 UTC
This package worked in the F35 mass rebuild [0] with python3-3.10.0~b4-2.fc35. It then failed in the F36 mass rebuild [1] with python3-3.10.2-2.fc36. A local F35 rebuild using python3-devel-3.10.4-1.fc35 fails for me now. My theory is that something changed between beta4 and the 3.10.0 release that introduced this issue. I found an upstream commit [2] that fixes the failing test.

Whoops, didn't mean to resolve this bug with the rawhide build. F36 build incoming.
