python-testtools failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f36 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=81985855 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_36_Mass_Rebuild Please fix python-testtools at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, python-testtools will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 37, python-testtools will be retired, if it still fails to build. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle. Changing version to 36.
This package worked in the F35 mass rebuild [0] with python3-3.10.0~b4-2.fc35. It then failed in the F36 mass rebuild [1] with python3-3.10.2-2.fc36. A local F35 rebuild using python3-devel-3.10.4-1.fc35 fails for me now. My theory is that something changed between beta4 and the 3.10.0 release that introduced this issue. I found an upstream commit [2] that fixes the failing test.
