Description Mattias Ellert 2022-02-06 05:02:07 UTC
Description of problem:

When building packages for EPEL that build-requires freeglut-devel the package is not available. The freeglut package providing the runtime library is available, but the development package needed to use it for compiling is missing. Please add freeglut-devel to CRB.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

freeglut-3.2.1-9.el9 (available)
freeglut-devel-3.2.1-9.el9 (missing)

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to build a package for EPEL 9 that build-requires freeglut-devel

Actual results:

No matching package to install: 'freeglut-devel'

Expected results:

Successful install of freeglut-devel in build root

Affects RHEL 9 too

Just wanted to mention here that this is already fixed in CentOS Stream 9 and will trickle down to RHEL 9.1. If there's a customer request to add it to 9.0 still, they are highly enouraged to make a support case so we can prioritize it accordingly
