Description Markus Muckhoff 2022-02-28 10:41:52 UTC
As commented in bug ticket #2041567 gtksourceview3 is needed to build xpad in epel9/centos-9-stream (and I think this might be true for building xpad in epel8 as well).

Please branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel8.

Please branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel9.

Comment 1 Markus Muckhoff 2022-03-07 09:29:51 UTC
Will you be able to branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel8 and epel9?

Comment 2 Robert Scheck 2022-06-21 20:54:35 UTC
Please branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel9.

If you do not wish to maintain gtksourceview3 in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package; please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/gtksourceview3/addgroup and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches.

Comment 3 Robert Scheck 2022-06-26 10:48:19 UTC
Reverted unintended part of the change (no longer blocks bug #2101178 is correct, but component shall still be gtksourceview3).

Comment 4 Robert Scheck 2022-06-26 22:03:24 UTC
Note: RHEL 8 already ships gtksourceview3 (via AppStream) and gtksourceview3-devel (via CRB/PowerTools), but both are missing in EPEL 9.

Comment 5 Robert Scheck 2022-06-30 22:21:54 UTC
Will you be able to branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel9? The EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer if you do not wish to build it on epel9.

Hi Matthias,
can you please build gtksourceview3 for epel9. We need that for for building mate-applets.

Comment 8 Robert Scheck 2022-07-12 20:01:15 UTC
I've now filed https://pagure.io/releng/issue/10884 according to https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-package-request/#epel_packagers_sig_members, because there was no response by the maintainer after at least three weeks and at least three attempts (even when counting just my own activity).
