As commented in bug ticket #2041567 gtksourceview3 is needed to build xpad in epel9/centos-9-stream (and I think this might be true for building xpad in epel8 as well). Please branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel8. Please branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel9.
Will you be able to branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel8 and epel9?
Please branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain gtksourceview3 in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package; please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/gtksourceview3/addgroup and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches.
Reverted unintended part of the change (no longer blocks bug #2101178 is correct, but component shall still be gtksourceview3).
Note: RHEL 8 already ships gtksourceview3 (via AppStream) and gtksourceview3-devel (via CRB/PowerTools), but both are missing in EPEL 9.
Will you be able to branch and build gtksourceview3 in epel9? The EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer if you do not wish to build it on epel9.
Hi Matthias, can you please build gtksourceview3 for epel9. We need that for for building mate-applets.
I've now filed https://pagure.io/releng/issue/10884 according to https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-package-request/#epel_packagers_sig_members, because there was no response by the maintainer after at least three weeks and at least three attempts (even when counting just my own activity).
