Description Orion Poplawski 2022-03-05 18:00:02 UTC
Description of problem:

Please build python-zope-event for EPEL9. If you are not able to do this yourself, please add me (orion) as an admin and I will do so. Thank you.

Comment 1 Parag Nemade 2022-04-12 13:19:42 UTC
I tried to go deep to trace required deps for python-rich in epel9.
Looks like this package needs python3-docs package which needs python3-docs-theme and linkchecker first in epel9.

Just build without docs for now I would suggest:

https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-zope-event/pull-request/5
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=86057160

+1

I think this package currently blocks python-zope-interface for EPEL 9 and z-i is an important dependency. It also blocks certbot from EPEL 9 so having no docs for python-zope-event would be completely acceptable to us. Doesn't have to be forever but getting a working runtime package first would be a clear priority. Thank you :-)

Are any maintainers willing to handle this for EPEL9? If not, please add me (orion) as an admin and I will do so.
