How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install on a 945G based system

Actual results:
hangs in there.  ^C reboots

Expected results:
go on to graphics install

Additional info:
same DVD is getting to graphical install ok in 946GZ and in 965 a.k.a Broadwater
(although I'm having other issues there, like rebooting and having a frequency
too high for my LCD panel).

Same 945G systems works fine with many, multiple distros.

This should be fixed as of 1.6.5-6.

This is an old issue, should be resolved by now. -> MODIFIED.

It is resolved.  We tested client-20061006.2-i386-DVD and client-20061006.2-
x86_64-DVD) in 915G, 945G and 965G.
