Ping - Sandro can you build this and/or add fuller? Thank you. Seems to build fine - https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=87759223 (In reply to Mark E. Fuller from comment #0) > Please branch and build scotch in epel8 and epel9. > > If you do not wish to maintain scotch in epel9, > or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, > I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS fuller); > please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/scotch/adduser user fuller (Mark E. Fuller ) is collaborator of this package , so you can build it on epel 8 and 9 I guess Attention , after review scotch was build for centos8 stream but not centos 9 stream https://gitlab.com/redhat/centos-stream/rpms/scotch/-/tree/c8s https://gitlab.com/redhat/centos-stream/rpms/scotch/-/commit/510c5b25db89c07f1ee0c48da615b0e1e8456425 I just got scuppered by this as well, when trying to support binary packages for the upcoming OpenFOAM-v2212 release (www.openfoam.com). I had been relying on having some provider of scotch/pt-scotch (or even metis if need be). Without these graph methods, no domain decomposition and thus no parallel computing. For some industrial users of OpenFOAM, there is a definite preference to using as many RedHat system packages as possible. Well, it does build fine in epel9 - https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=95607362 Fuller - are you still interested in this? I could be added to the package as well. *** Bug 2102728 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 2124374 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Yes, Orion, thank you - it's one of a few dependencies I still need to build Cantera for EPEL 9 Sandro, could you build Scotch for EPEL9 please? https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=95697262 I've requested the branch. I'd build version 7.0.2, which I'd also like to land in rawhide. How is it looking with the effort you started in https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/sagitter/ForTesting/builds/? (In reply to Sandro Mani from comment #10) > I've requested the branch. I'd build version 7.0.2, which I'd also like to > land in rawhide. How is it looking with the effort you started in > https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/sagitter/ForTesting/builds/? bout++ is not ready for PETSc-3.18 Wait for scotch-7 please, i dont know if PETSc-3.17 is compatible with Scotch-7 I'm testing scotch+hypre+superlu_dist+sundials+hdf5 on a Copr-epel9 project Is there a dev branch of the specfile for the 7.0.2 build ? (In reply to Tom Rix from comment #13) > Is there a dev branch of the specfile for the 7.0.2 build ? There is a Copr build of the 7.0.1 https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/sagitter/ForTesting/build/5033774/ There is a scratch build of 7.0.2 here: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=95701582 EPEL9 builds are complete. If you agree i can start with a side-tag build of Scotch Yes sure! Just as a general heads up, we'd seen some slightly odd behaviour with scotch-7.0.1 (see https://develop.openfoam.com/Development/openfoam/-/issues/2666), don't know how widely reproducible it is, or if it also shows in scotch-7.0.2 (In reply to Antonio T. sagitter from comment #18) > https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2023-4ae0a52f22 was pushed to stable |
