Thanks Rob for creating this BZ. Proposing it for 8.7 planning. Also, do we want this to 9.1 too? There is no browser in the installation environment, so the users won't be able to click and use the link during the installation. Hi Rob, could you please re-phrase the text you want to have there. As pointed in comment 3, it is not possible to get clickable link to the tooltip. Another option could be to have this as label. However, even in that case it's problem because Anaconda don't have web browser installed in the installation environment. Hi Jiri, The underlying use case we're looking to address is - Red Hat Insights is included with each RHEL subscription (for value-add & differentiation) to provide direct tooling for the visibility & management of these hosts. Our research however is showing the amount of active RHEL customers who are aware of Insights or that this is available to them is lower than we'd like. Our hypothesis is that we can increase awareness and potentially impact adoption by surfacing this information up to our customers earlier in their RHEL deployment processes/workflows. I'm going to lean on you a bit here as I'm not sure what technical limitations exist within the workflow for this installer (thanks for pointing out some already), even if not clickable, is there an area of opportunity that we could surface some text to help address the use-case above? If so, any text limitations that we would want to design our message around? re: 9.1 - yes, please Thanks again for all your input! Rob RHEL-9 clone: bug 2071665 Just for the record, the "Connect to Red Hat Insights" checkbox in the Anaconda GUI is checked by default. So I'm not sure if a tooltip by itself will directly increase usage that much, as Inights is enabled by default. I guess it could reduce the number of customers who uncheck the Insights checkbox because they don't know what it is. It could also make it more likely customers will try the Insights features out after the installation. Hi Sagar, may I ask you for helping us with the text creation? The original text couldn't be used because of the link. Also I would prefer to have something a bit smaller because it should be used in a tooltip. (In reply to Jiri Konecny from comment #8) > Hi Sagar, may I ask you for helping us with the text creation? The original > text couldn't be used because of the link. Also I would prefer to have > something a bit smaller because it should be used in a tooltip. Text without link at the end looks good to me. Checked that anaconda-33.16.7.9-1.el8 is in nightly compose RHEL-8.7.0-20220809.0 Moving to VERIFIED Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
