Would you like to own the EL branch here as well? :) I wish I had the time. What is happening with EPEL and people are leaving it? Hard to sum up, but it's a bit of a mess. CentOS 8 was EOL'd early after RH took it over (there's still CentOS 8 Stream), and now EL 9, and which do we built against? RHEL or CentOS? Rocky? And even previous to that RH stopped shipping most -devel packages, so even if the package already exists the -devel package you need may not be available. And lots of stuff I'm glossing over :) So this commit should be applied to all branches? From the commit this doesn't appear to be el8 specific... Wrong BZ... sorry. Is there any progress on this? A epel9 branch was requested: https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/45889 ... which now exists: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/freeimage/commits/epel9 ... and freeimage-3.19.0-0.11.svn1889.el9 was built for EPEL9: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2092941 So, this can be CLOSED now? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 2077790 *** The needinfo request[s] on this closed bug have been removed as they have been unresolved for 120 days |
