Please branch and build freeimage in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain freeimage in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package; please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/freeimage/addgroup and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches.
Will you be able to branch and build freeimage in epel9? The EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer if you do not wish to build it on epel9.
You're welcome to take it over. Many of the EPEL 8 packages I tried to maintain was for running MythTV on EPEL but Fedora has been super stable for years even across upgrades so my needs have changed. I tried assigning the EPEL packager SIG as the EPEL "maintainer" for BZ on another package but it wasn't accepted.
Thanks! Branch requested: $ fedpkg request-branch epel9 https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/45889 It also looks like we're missing a dependency, so I've filed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2108919 for that.
