Description Julian Sikorski 2022-08-04 08:48:17 UTC
Description of problem:
Since firefox-103.0, media.ffmpeg.vaapi.enabled defaults to false. This results in HW acceleration not working. Looks D147874.diff was dropped unintentionally.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
103.0-1.fc36

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. check about:config
2. check about:support

Actual results:
media.ffmpeg.vaapi.enabled is false and VA-API is disabled by default.

Expected results:
the opposite

Added fix to koji, hope that helps.

Comment 4 Martin Stransky 2022-08-04 14:37:34 UTC
firefox-103.0.1-2.fc36 should fix that.

Comment 5 Julian Sikorski 2022-08-04 16:02:05 UTC
Thanks! media.ffmpeg.vaapi.enabled is still false, but about:support shows VAAPI as available by default and VA-API decoding is active as per MOZ_LOG="PlatformDecoderModule:5" firefox.
