Description momran 2022-08-24 12:21:24 UTC
Description of problem:

When restoring an offline backup created using the '-t' option, for example:
  ~~~
  # satellite-maintain backup offline -t 100G /var/satellite-backup
  ~~~
the restoration gets stuck forever after some time, and never completes.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

 - satellite-6.10.7-1.el7sat.noarch

How reproducible:

Always, on both Red Hat Satellite 6.10 and 6.11.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create an offline backup of Red Hat Satellite 6.10 or 6.11 server:
    ~~~
    # satellite-maintain backup offline -t 100G /var/satellite-backup
    ~~~

2. Restore the backup created in step (1):
    ~~~
    # satellite-maintain restore /var/backup_directory
    ~~~
   Where backup_directory is the time-stamped directory or subdirectory containing the backed-up data.

3. Monitor the /var/log/foreman-maintain/foreman-maintain.log while the restoration is in progress:
    ~~~
    # tail -f /var/log/foreman-maintain/foreman-maintain.log
    ~~~

Actual results:

Restoration gets stuck at 'extracting pulp data' after some time, and never finishes.

Expected results:

Restoration progress to the end, and all backed up data gets restored successfully.
