Description Petr Pisar 2022-09-20 08:45:51 UTC
Using mock-scm-3.1-1.fc37.noarch plugin fails with:

DEBUG: Initializing SCM integration...
DEBUG: SCM checkout command: rpkg clone -a --branch rawhide perl-Sub-Uplevel perl-Sub-Uplevel
DEBUG: SCM checkout post command: rpkg sources
DEBUG: SCM checkout directory: /tmp/tmpywgsgwaz.mock-scm.perl-Sub-Uplevel
DEBUG: child environment: None
DEBUG: Executing command: ['rpkg', 'clone', '-a', '--branch', 'rawhide', 'perl-Sub-Uplevel', 'perl-Sub-Uplevel'] with env environ({'LANG': 'en_US.UTF-8', 'SHELL': '/bin/bash', 'TERM': 'screen.xterm-256color', 'PATH': '/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/root/bin', 'LOGNAME': 'root', 'USER': 'root', 'COLUMNS': '103', 'USERHELPER_UID': '500', 'HOME': '/home/test'}) and shell False
ERROR: rpkg does not exist or cannot be executed due permissions.

"rpkg" is a default command specified in py/mockbuild/config.py. I think mock-scm package should run-require, or at least recommend "rpkg"

Comment 1 Pavel Raiskup 2022-09-20 10:06:32 UTC
Thank you for the report. Indeed, we should either Recommend
the rpkg package, or maybe even better migrate to more DistGit
versatile tool copr-distgit-client (and Recommend that).
