Hello, thank you for the bug report. We are aware of this problem and it's currently tracked in bug 1999060. I'm closing this bug as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1999060 *** |
Created attachment 1916318 [details] RHEL 9 installer Help screenshot Description of problem: Once you hit Help in the RHEL 9 installer, there's no clear way (if any) to exit the help and return to the installation) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rhel-baseos-9.0-x86_64-dvd.iso How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run the installer 2. Click "Help" 3. Can't exit Help. Actual results: Can't exit help. The Help screen is a full screen dialog, so it has no "X" button the way a floating Help window would. Expected results: A clear way to exit help. Additional info: I made this "HIGH" because you are basically forced to reboot to exit help, which means loosing partitioning and install selections. As bad as a crash, basically. Recommend: making Help windows floating instead of borderless/full screen. This is probably what was intended. This way the user can see both Help and installer screen, and read one while typing into the other. Also, under the "hamburger" menu, an "Exit Help" option would be good. Perhaps too, these keyboard shortcuts could exit the Help window: ESC, ALT-F4, etc. Attached is a screenshot showing the Help screen with no apparent way out.
