Description of problem:
libwmf appears to contain a statically linked copy of libgd, is there a reason
why it can't link against the shared libgd?  Or at least hide the statically
linked copy from the global symbol namespace?

apparently gd is a customized version, symbols now hidden as of 0.2.8.4-11
