Description itrymybest80 2023-02-14 08:52:11 UTC
After an update to gnome-shell 43.3 and mutter 43.3 my ability to create and/or name a new folder is no longer consistent when having more than one window open.

gnome-shell-43.3-1.fc37.x86_64
mutter-43.3-1.fc37.x86_64

How reproducible: more often than not.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a new application/window of your choice (example: firefox, vlc)
2. open nautilus on top of that (default file manager)
3. right-click anywhere in the nautilus/files window and try to create a "new folder".

Actual results: you're greeted by a grayed out prompt; and may have to switch between your windows before the focus comes back.

Expected results: preferably to always be able to create a new folder and enter a desired folder name.
