Is this still a problem with current rpm? This is still an issue - probably due to chroot

--dbpath has always expected an absolute, not a relative, path. Easy enough to enforce that, except that I want to permit a URI to access remote rpmdb's some when. Fixed in rpm cvs, will be in rpm-4.4.8-0.10 when built. UPSTREAM User pnasrat's account has been closed Reassigning to owner after bugzilla made a mess, sorry about the noise... Based on the date this bug was created, it appears to have been reported against rawhide during the development of a Fedora release that is no longer maintained.
