Description chrisbray 2023-06-29 20:01:16 UTC
Looking for an EPEL9 build of `qperf` to unblock CentOS Stream 9 migration.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to install `qperf` on CentOS Stream/EPEL 9

Actual Results:
Package not found.

Expected Results:
Package installed.

Comment 1 Michel Lind 2023-06-29 20:21:18 UTC
Note: the repo did exist for Stream 9, but it was retired - https://gitlab.com/redhat/centos-stream/rpms/qperf/-/commit/9361eeb305da51171cc0db619e1887350d04b054 - so this package is eligible for EPEL

Comment 2 Michel Lind 2023-06-29 20:24:04 UTC
this is the right retirement commit, sorry https://gitlab.com/redhat/centos-stream/rpms/qperf/-/commit/e6c50e89d2dcfbf84561bbcbb7c34c06b63643b4

Comment 3 Davide Cavalca 2023-07-05 20:02:01 UTC
Will you be able to branch and build qperf in epel9?
The EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer
if you do not wish to build it on epel9.

Comment 4 Michel Lind 2023-07-25 17:24:23 UTC
Stalled EPEL request: https://pagure.io/releng/issue/11569
