Changing version to 39. Raphael, I see you assigned this bugzilla almost 2 months ago. Have you made any progress? The package fails to install and fails to build. Fedora 39 Beta was just released. Is it probable that this will be fixed (or worked around) in time for the Fedora 39 Final Freeze (2023-10-03)? If not, could you please consider retiring the package, so we can obsolete it and unblock clean upgrades to Fedora 39? A retired package can be reintroduced later during the lifetime of Fedora 39. Currently I'm busy with daily work. As a community member I'm doing my packaging contributions in my rare spare time -sorry. Understood that Final Freeze is coming, so will see if I can afford something shortly in next couple of weeks. Maybe just another rebuilds are sufficient for dependencies in correct order? As my comment #4 tells there was an issue with dependency python-pyvmomi but I managed to patch & build successfully. It'd be sad to see my next package get orphaned. This just required a small tweak to the sed. (In reply to Elliott Sales de Andrade from comment #9) > This just required a small tweak to the sed. True. Version branch 7.x of pyvmomi as dependency is legacy for upstream and not expected to mainly developed any further, so downstream patches needed in compatibility case. But that's out of scope here for pvc frontend with another upstream. FEDORA-2023-05814fcc72 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 39. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-05814fcc72 FEDORA-2023-05814fcc72 has been pushed to the Fedora 39 testing repository. Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2023-05814fcc72` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-05814fcc72 See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates. Hello, Please note that this comment was generated automatically by https://pagure.io/releng/blob/main/f/scripts/ftbfs-fti/follow-policy.py If you feel that this output has mistakes, please open an issue at https://pagure.io/releng/ All subpackages of a package against which this bug was filled are now installable or removed from Fedora 40. Thanks for taking care of it! FEDORA-2023-05814fcc72 has been pushed to the Fedora 39 stable repository. If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report. |
