This is a trcaking Bugzilla for Python 3.12-related work.
Miro, what would you say is the current status here? It should be either MODIFIED (to indicate 'testable') or ON_QA (to indicate '100% complete').
Python 3.12 is there. We still want to update to 3.12.0 final before GA and there are still 150 packages in Fedora 39 that need to be rebuilt with Python 3.12. Hence, this is testable, but only 99% complete.
Current status - RC3 is in updates-testing. Since we still want 3.12.0 for GA (I assume) we can't mark this ON_QA, but it is definitely on track and not at risk.
We have 3.12.0 final since before the final freeze. All packages are either rebuilt or retired: $ repoquery -q --refresh --repo=fedora --releasever=39 --whatrequires 'libpython3.11.so.1.0()(64bit)' --whatrequires 'python(abi) = 3.11' --whatrequires 'python3.11dist(*)' python3.11-0:3.11.5-1.fc39.x86_64 python3.11-devel-0:3.11.5-1.fc39.x86_64 The only remaining bit is bz2233409 which has a final update in testing.
F39 was released on November 7th, so I am closing this tracker. If this Change was not completed, please notify me ASAP.
