In version 4.8.30 when mc is started with either -a (--stickchars) or -s (--slow) the display is garbled.
Prior versions up to 4.8.29 where all OK.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start mc with either -a or -s switch

Actual Results:  
Garbage on the screen.

Expected Results:  
Usable display

Please report that to upstream https://midnight-commander.org/ because that kind of issue have nothing to do with build procedure or build env.
