Description Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 2023-12-01 09:58:48 UTC
Description of problem:
I'm not sure what is going on here, but
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/helvum/-/tags has 0.5.1,
but https://release-monitoring.org/project/242208/
and https://crates.io/crates/helvum only have 0.4.0.

Comment 1 Fabio Valentini 2023-12-01 12:22:13 UTC
It looks like the recent releases haven't been published to crates.io.
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/helvum/-/issues/118

Comment 2 Fabio Valentini 2023-12-01 12:48:03 UTC
Upstream no longer plans to release on crates.io.
We will need to rename the package to "helvum" and track GitLab tags directly.

Comment 3 Fabio Valentini 2023-12-13 15:00:29 UTC
This has been confirmed in the upstream ticket:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/helvum/-/issues/118

We will need a re-review for packaging helvum v0.5.0+ as "helvum" and retire the "rust-helvum" package.

Comment 4 Michel Lind 2024-02-13 22:43:40 UTC
Disabling monitoring for now, working on a new repackaging

Comment 5 Michel Lind 2024-02-14 16:04:11 UTC
*** Bug 2253782 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***

Comment 6 Aoife Moloney 2024-02-15 23:06:29 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 40 development cycle.
Changing version to 40.

Comment 7 Michel Lind 2024-02-22 15:49:37 UTC
helvum 0.5.1 is in rawhide and F40 and will be in F39 and F38 soon
