Before this update, the FFU procedure sometimes used the incorrect Red Hat Ceph Storage image when the documented upgrade procedure was not followed by the user.
+
With this update, the FFU procedure always uses the correct Red Hat Ceph Storage image. The `multi-rhel-container-image-prepare.py` script has been updated to use the correct defaults and version validation checks have been added to the FFU process.

The documentation has been updated so that chapter 4.1 [1] step 8iii builds a containers-prepare-parameter.yaml with the correct ceph_image [1] https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openstack_platform/17.1/html/framework_for_upgrades_16.2_to_17.1/performing-the-overcloud-adoption_overcloud-adoption#running-the-overcloud-upgrade-preparation_overcloud-adoption Thanks Erin, Updated Doc text looks good to me. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA. For information on the advisory (Moderate: openstack-tripleo-heat-templates and tripleo-ansible update), and where to find the updated files, follow the link below. If the solution does not work for you, open a new bug report. https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2024:2736 |
