Description of problem:
Xsane segfaults on launch with gdk-pixbuf2-2.42.11-1.fc40.x86_64 and gdk-pixbuf2-modules-2.42.11-1.fc40.x86_64,  when previously it had worked with version 2.42-10-8 of the aforementioned packages.  This seems to be related to: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2276464 .

Hi,

yes, it is connected to the #2276464 - disabled XPM caused this issue. Ben from the issue will bring gdk-pixbuf2-extras into Fedora to make it work even when gdk-pixbuf2 will disable the loaders permanently.

gdk-pixbuf2-2.42.11-1.fc40 was unpushed from updates-testing and never made it to stable.  For Fedora 40 the fix is to downgrade to gdk-pixbuf2-2.42.10-8.fc40.  The new package will only be necessary for Fedora 41+.
