Description Timothée Floure 2024-07-12 15:35:35 UTC
Hello,

Upstream has moved the source repository to [1], and has renamed [2] the project to webextension-native-messaging. The latest stable release is currently 1.0.1 (currently package 0.1.0).

Do we want to follow the full package renaming process [3] or keep the actual name (since the change is minimal)?

[2] https://git.bauke.xyz/Holllo/webextension-native-messaging/commit/7623cb6b3ec69592bc8198b046121ab9a7fa7046
[3] https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/Package_Renaming_Process/

Reproducible: Always

Packages under the rust-* namespace MUST match the name of the project on crates.io.
https://crates.io/crates/webextension-native-messaging

So since this has changed name, a re-review for the new name is necessary.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 42 development cycle.
Changing version to 42.

Package rust-webextension-native-messaging is now in rawhide. I suggest rust-web-ext-native-messaging is retired.
