Comment 3 Timothée Floure 2024-07-12 15:39:01 UTC
The outdated package doesn't seem to work with the latest Fedora/Thunderbird anymore: https://github.com/Frederick888/external-editor-revived/issues/156

It does work for me (F40) with a manual installation. We have to update the rust/webextension dependency before updating this package (see 2297618).

I don't think it's that simple. On a fresh installation of Fedora 42 beta, the following packages work fine together for me:

thunderbird-128.8.0-1.fc42.x86_64
external-editor-revived-0.4.0-9.fc42.x86_64

I thought external-editor-revived-0.4.0-7.fc40.x86_64 didn't work for me on Fedora 40, but now I try it again I find that it does, so I'm not sure what's happening.

If you can still reproduce the problem, I suggest raising another bug.
