Description Jonathan Wright 2024-12-15 11:11:07 UTC
Please branch and build python-feedparser in epel10.

If you do not wish to maintain python-feedparser in epel10,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package;
please add the epel-packagers-sig group through
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-feedparser/addgroup
and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches.

I would also be happy to be a co-maintainer (FAS: jonathanspw).

Lets see if we can see any way forward to drop sgmllib3 dep here... I guess upstream still has it though.

Comment 2 Romain Geissler 2025-01-18 11:20:12 UTC
There was already an issue upstream to ask for the removal of sgmllib3k but for now feedparser still depends on it: https://github.com/kurtmckee/feedparser/issues/328

Comment 3 Davide Cavalca 2025-03-12 19:58:05 UTC
Will you be able to branch and build python-feedparser in epel10? This package is part of the mkdocs stack and mkdocs-sig would be happy to co-maintain as well. Thanks!

Comment 4 Kevin Fenzi 2025-03-29 18:44:52 UTC
Yeah, reluctantly I guess I'll build python-sgmllib3k. It just makes me sad tho. ;(
