please build python-sgmllib3k in epel10
Will you be able to branch and build python-sgmllib3k in epel10? I would be happy to be a co-maintainer if you do not wish to build it on epel9 (FAS: jonathanspw).
Ugh. I just wish feedparser would finally drop this. this package is just a 2to3 scrape of the last version that was around before it was dropped by python upstream (now many years ago). I suppose we could keep carrying it on, but it makes me very sad. Let's see if we can come up with some other option before branching...
What are we thinking about branching this? feedparser upstream hasn't shown any movement on dropping it unfortunately. The only stopgap I can really see is to basically bundle it within feedparser so we're at least not branching it. Currently this is blocking (through a chain) certbot which I'd like to have ready in EPEL10 prior to RHEL 10's GA.
ok, ok. I guess we can do it. I just hate it because: * The upstream 'source' is now gone (at least the seperate source for the package, I suppose you can still extract it from old python). * No one is really 'maintaining' it. * The license I think was wrong upstream. But alright, can unblock things. ;(
