Description David Findlay 2001-01-05 02:00:20 UTC
In earlier releases, such as Redhat 6, when you loaded, set your other
machines to use the newly loaded machine as DNS server, then typed the URL
of the new machine, it would recognize it immediately. The BIND package in
Redhat 7 doesn' seem to work. It won't even recognise it's own hostname.

Is there a fix for this. Please email me at nedz

David

This is because bind is now turned off by default for security reasons.
