Description Mark Pearson 2025-03-14 12:50:38 UTC
Description of problem:
Changing profiles on Lenovo platforms by hotkey or from the terminal is not updated correctly in gnome settings/systray.
Tracked down the issue to being because of the switch to TuneD and it not having the feature enabled to track sysfs changes.

I did a change to fix this - waiting on it to be accepted upstream (it has been reviewed):
https://github.com/redhat-performance/tuned/pull/755

Once the maintainer accepts this can it be pulled into Fedora? This issue is impacting the Fedora preloads for our platforms as they fail in QA.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Latest

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change profile by hotkey or terminal
2. Check setting in TuneD or Gnome settings/systray
3.

Actual results:
Profile is not correct

Expected results:
Profile in sync with system setting

Hi Mark, I just submitted Fedora updates yesterday with the patch, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2348853. They are in testing as of now.

Closing this as a duplicate.

Ah crap - sorry. I thought I had raised a bug, but looked for it and it didn't show up in a search so I created this. Sorry for the noise!
