Description Kaleb KEITHLEY 2025-03-25 18:57:48 UTC
Please branch and build python-dask-expr in epel10.

If you do not wish to maintain python-dask-expr in epel10,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS: kkeithle);
please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-dask-expr/adduser

scratch build https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=130749223
  w/ bootstrap and w/ tests disabled

will need to rebuild non-bootstrap and tests enabled after python-dask is built.

This package is kind of obsolete. For that to come into effect, python-dask needs to be upgraded. Newer releases of python-dask include dask-expr. See also my comments in bug 2338642.

Having dask and dask-expr in the same package also saves a lot of bootstrap churn as you already noticed.

Comment 4 Kaleb KEITHLEY 2025-04-29 12:06:30 UTC
python-dask 2025.4.0 does not require python-dask-expr
